Materials
were
selected based on conductivity, ability to withstand
harsh environments, environmental friendliness and recyclability.
Finish includes an electrically conductive coating
which inhibits oxidation and corrosion. Made
in USA.
The 2008 NEC requires an Intersystem Bonding Termination. This new UL listed device conforms to sections 250.64. Main grounding conductor cable range: #4 AWG and #6 AWG solid or stranded. Three termination points for #10 AWG to #14 AWG solid or stranded. Our bonding device is for use with 1/2-14 NPSM metallic or non-metallic tubing, conduit bodies and electrical enclosures. Mounting via 1/2-14 NPSM connection. Hardware shown included. NOTE: 3/4-14 NPSM Inline Bonding Device version also available. Please contact ByerSource at sales@byersource.com. Unit sold in kit form. Kit includes (1) inline bonding device, (1) lock nut, (1) set screw and (3) ground screws with installation instructions. New requirements per the National Electrical Code Handbook released in 2008 calls
for a protective covering for the grounding electrode conductor where it can be exposed
to physical damage. Our bonding device does just that! This new ETL listed device conforms to NEC section 250.64. Not only is it aesthetically pleasing when mounted in-line, but it also eliminates the need for additional grounding bars or clips that would be attached to the side of a building by hardware where moisture could penetrate causing mold and water damage.

service equipment for solar installations or any device that needs access to earth.
The National Electric Code Handbook released in 2011 references lightning
protection for solar panel installations. It is required that continuous grounding of
all modules and mounting system components be grounded. This applies for
existing AC service equipment, inverters and DC disconnects.
It is also suggested that an optional supplementary electrode be installed for
additional lightning protection.
